About

“Abcde” (pronounced Ab-si-dee). My mom's middle name.

Abcde Pictures is the production company of Writer/Director/Producer Jesse Harris.

Jesse Harris started his filmmaking career early, writing and directing his first feature when he was 17. He opted against college and used the money to fund his feature, which was eventually sold to a US distributor and received a multi city theatrical release. It was also picked up by HBO in Europe. The film was also one of 20 features invited to the 2004 IFP New York Film Market.

In 2007, to support other young filmmakers, Jesse founded NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth), which has grown into the largest and most prestigious youth film festival in the world. Jesse ran the festival as Executive Director, always keeping the organization financially successful and raised millions of dollars from corporate sponsors for the film festival, many sponsors returning year-after-year for nearly a decade.

Variety named Jesse one of 25 talents who transformed youth entertainment and was named one of City Arts Magazine’s Top 50 Culture Makers. Jesse has been named a Global Shaper, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. Jesse has worked with other young people around the world to better their communities. Jesse works worldwide as a director of commercials. His work has been seen on TV around the world, working with clients such as Volvo, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Disney, Samsung and more. See Jesse’s Work

Jesse’s 2018 short film WIND IN THE NIGHT was a hit, going on to film festivals and being sold to distributors in US, France, UK and Asia. It was one of seven films selected for the 2019 Prix SNCF du Polar in France. The film is available on Amazon Prime Video and Vimeo.
